There is an error on the video. THE BASS PLAYER WAS DEREK CLEARY NOT GEORGE ROBINSON.

Recently discovered footage of Liverpool's The Cryin Shames performing on French TV in 1966. You can read the story of the band "From Bumblies to Shames" at http://www.cryinshames.com/from%20bumblies%20to%20shames%20part%201.htm

The recent footage does not show the bass player, it says the same on wiki that Derek replaced George but anyone can edit wiki. The story of the Bumblies to the Shames which you produced does not mention Derek Cleary ever being in the band

Errm, have you actually watched the video. This one was taken in a TV studio in France ( Not by the Thames), after George had the left the band.

Tower of Power

PLEASE STAY pieseň Burta Bacharacha a Boba Hilliarda bola jediným hitom skupiny CRYIN SHAMES, keď od 31. marca 1966 bola v UK rebríčku 7 týždňov a skončila na 26.m. Piesne Gloria a What´s New Pussycat neuspeli. Táto beatová skupina vznikla v Liverpoole v roku 1963 pod názvom The Bumblies. Tvorili ju Charlie Crane a Joey Kneen spev, John Bennett gitara, Phil Roberts klavesy, George Robinson basová gitara a Charlie Gallagher bicie. Kneen a Roberts boli bývalí členovia The Calderstones podobne ako neskorší člen Badfinger Tom Evans. V dec 1963 nahradil Benneta Ritchie Routledge 16 ročný gitarista zo skupiny Aztecks.Pred Vianocami zmenili názov skupiny na Cryin Shames. Dňa 18. februara 1966 vydali jedinú úspešnú pieseň. V máji 1966 nahradil Robinsona Derek Cleary a skupina nahrala druhú pieseň Nobody Waved Goodbye. V septembri 1966 nová zostava nahrala singel s piesňami September In The Rain a Come On Back. Skupinu tvorili Crane Routledge, Mike Espie gitara, Brian Norris basová gitara, Pete Byrne organ a Paul Commerford bicie.

Meek was a genius, and kind of a mad genius, but to those who credit Meek for Crane's soul...sorry, but Charlie always had that. Charlie wasn't a Winwood or a Marriott, but he had soul.
