Lyrics:

Please come to Boston for the springtime

I'm staying here with some friends and they've got lots of room

You can sell you paintings on the sidewalk

By a cafe where I hope to be working soon

Please come to Boston

She said, "No, David, you come home to me"

And she said, "Hey rambling boy, why don't you settle down

Boston ain't your kind of town

There ain't no gold and there ain't nobody like me

I'm the number one fan of the man from Tennessee"

Please come to Denver with the snowfall

We'll move up into the mountains so far that we can't be found

And throw, "I love you" echoes down the canyon

And then lie awake at night till they come back around

Please come to Denver

She said, "No, you come home to me"

And she said, "Hey rambling boy, why don't you settle down

Denver ain't your kind of town

There ain't no gold and there ain't nobody like me

I'm the number one fan of the man from Tennessee"

Now, this drifter's world goes 'round and 'round

And I doubt if it's ever gonna stop

[ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/please-come-to-boston-lyrics-david-allan-coe.html ]

But of all the dreams I've lost and found

And all that I ain't got, I still need to lean to

Somebody I can sing to

Please come to L.A. to live forever

California life alone is just too hard to build

I live in a house that looks out over the ocean

And there's some stars that fell from the sky a' livin' up on the hill

Please come to L.A.

She just said, "No, David, you come home to me"

And she said, "Hey rambling boy, why don't you settle down

L.A. ain't your kind of town

There ain't no gold and there ain't nobody like me

I'm the number one fan of the man from Tennessee"

Please come to Boston

(Hey rambling boy come home)

Please come to Boston

(Hey rambling boy come home)

Please come to Boston

(Hey rambling boy come home)

Please come to Boston

(Hey rambling boy come home)

Please come to Boston

Thanks Greg. I listened to some of Rod and and a lot of oldies a couple of weeks ago. Your cd I got was in the group as well. Thank you for the information and I look forward to getting it. I bet you will be great. I still think you should do a CD with some of Byrds from "sweetheart of the rodeo"..you would be dynamite. Have fun and enjoy your travels and be careful. blessings, Jayne

Greg, I need to get your music to listen to. There is not one song that I am not crazy in love with. Music is my companion and I am not that savy with tech and do not/can not downlaod on mp3. Please help me" Just listened to "summer breeze". It's a killer. WOW! I had thought about digging out the old vinyls last week and play them. Summer breeze was going through my head. You guys are doing so great on all the tunes.

I just listened to 40 Hour Week. A great job and you know with the economy and the killing of innocent children and others along with bombings, at age 70, I think we all need to take a deep breath and remind each other how great this nation is in spite of those that try to shut us down. We all come from generations that worked hard to survive, and the " song and words remind us to appreciate every job, no matter how humble." Better than Alabama and I love your style. My new love.
