Gary had a infected finger which caused him to cancel a tour like 10 years ago. Because his management didn't have insurance, Gary had to pay for those venue's in Europe that he never used and this really put a hurt on him. This was the reason he sold the guitar and he had a person in charge selling the guitar and they were to make sure that it was sold to a person with right intentions. Well Gary didn't know Phil Winfield was buying or he would not have sold to him. Made him sick along with me.

That is such a sweet sound! Incidentrally, if you like Peter Green, there's a guy in England called David Layton - Guitarist whose stuff sounds exactly like what Green did after the Mac.

@incongra not always,..i have a traditional lespaul from 2009,did the green mod(magnetic),and have 99 procent of his tone(the other procent is the fact that i am not Peter Green)

And so the myth continues. You need to have an old Les Paul to have "authenticity". This is a beautiful guitar, no mistake But it is the player who makes it special ( or not)
