The Amazing Scotty Brothers on spoons: Peter Scott, Gordon Scott accompanined by Tim Wheeler

March, 2013: The song has been picked up and sampled by the wonderful Sandra Boyton on her new album "Frog Trouble". The spoons can be heard on "I've Got a Dog" featuring the one and only Dwight Yokam. What an honor! Check for it in stores in the fall.

July 30th, 2010:

Wonderful news - I was asked by the production team at NBC's "Tonight Show" if they could use this clip in a sketch Jay Leno was doing at the beginning of Friday's show! How amazing was that - we made it on America's biggest and longest running TV show! Hopefully that wasn't the be-all-and-end-all of our 15-seconds of fame! Thanks for the comments and support!

May 5, 2010: ***Wow! 41,000+ views! Thanks everybody for the great comments. Just to let you know that Gordon (the gentleman camera right) sadly passed away last year. He was a hardy old soul with a good heart and a matching sense of humour (which is perhaps why he wore his trouser so high). He served in the Merchant Navy most of his working life and survived several ship sinking escapes caused by German torpedoes in WWII. We miss him, but a bit of him lives on in those who have had the pleasure to have met him.

Peter (in the middle) is Gordon's younger brother. He is Brightlingsea born and bred and spent his working life on top of people's rooftops mending their broken television aerials. Peter cunningly mixed his work with pleasure, a keen photographer - he now boasts one of the largest collection of rooftop scenes of the coastal town of Brightlingsea in the entire coastal town of Brightlingsea!

Both of these "Scotty Brothers" are some of the last great spoon players of a generation who had some spoons and each other to play with growing up. They have played spoons together since a very young age which shows in their tacit, yet perfect, timing.

The chap playing guitar is me, Tim Wheeler.

Thanks for watching and reading! Please continue leaving your wonderful comments!
