Song: Black Heart

Album: ...

Year: 2014

A song about a pirate's lost love. Highly inspired by Davy Jones's theme from Pirates of the Caribbean by Hans Zimmer.

I can make a version with the music box only if you guys want me to, though in my opinion it will be repetitive (apart from the ending) , so let me know.

Enjoy :)

In a thousand lives and 10000 years i will do what i must to atone for the sins of my fathers. Each wave a memory singing a haunting past rocking me ceaselessly, never letting the darkness dismiss my consciousness. The ship creaks, as my soul weeps drowning determinantly in black waters of bright evils; still caressing the surface of the current and present. Moon flickering bright yet jadedly upon dark and sullen eyes, inside time had been lost to a black hearted genocide. This carnation of many carnations a linear continuation, a feather in the wind on black hearted waters tryibg to atone for his sins

Pirates turned to their vocation to escape the tyranny and poor conditions of governments and naval forces. Men wanting freedom, equality, and yes, even the right of Africans to be equal as crew members. The reality far exceeds the myths and romanticizing if but one does their research.

"My mother met my father when she was only in her teens and he in his thirties. Mother was the most beautiful maiden on the islands she grew up, yet she was captivated by my father's handsome face and his gentle attitude towards her. He was fierce yet so very gentle. They were in love, but such things were not meant to be. He left early one morning with her waving goodbye at the docks as he rode away, not knowing she was pregnant with his child. Soon it became apparent with her that she was indeed with child and that she would probably never see him again. On a cold Sunday morning, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl and named her Claramilla. The child grew up looking at the ocean and wondering if she would ever see her father and to just hear tales of him and his adventures on the vast ocean sea. Her mother would find her at the docks, looking at the ocean, and she would tell her a story about her father. Claramilla wished to see her father, but she was also happy to have her mother by her side. Sadly though, on her 15th birthday, this happiness would come to an end when her mother, always sickly and frail, passed away on a foggy Monday morning. Her mother, before she faded away, gave her a locket, that her father had given her years ago, to always keep by her side and told her no matter what to never give up and to always chase her dreams. To not let this island be her whole world. And, if she wished to, to find her father. Her mother died right next to the young girl who did not know what she should do at the time. She took the locket and, for four days, let tears fall down her face as she looked over at the vast ocean she had always dreamed of riding upon and discovering the secrets of. She watched as the waves crashed against the rocks and thought of all the time she spent here, the stories she had heard of her father, and her time with her mother on this island. She decided, putting the locket around her neck, she would leave this place in three years time to gain enough money to purchase a small ship to sail the seas with. And that she did. When she turned 18, she took the few belongings she had, keeping the locket and her mother's word close to her hear, and she set sail upon the beautiful and vast ocean. She let the ocean air blow through her hair and tasted the salt air. She was finally where she wanted to be. She had her father's blood in her after all. Claramilla decided she would hide her origin to the island she grew up on and change her name to Clara Macgregor. She soon arrived in a bustling town full of pirates and other good-for-nothings. She was glad she had decided to train herself in combat and other skills before setting off and walked proudly to a small pub with her pistols by her side. When she entered, many men looked her over and gave a cheer. She was only 18 but, like her mother, she was just as gorgeous. She sat at the bar, ordering a glass. Some of the men began to bother her, but a man, after she had broken one of the men's arm's, spoke up. He was quite handsome with blonde hair in a small ponytail and brown eyes. After talking a bit, Clara decided to join his crew and serve as his first mate since he had not yet made his crew and was here to collect his crew. He told her he didn't think that any of the other members was good enough to be his second on command and thought she was a much better candidate. They were a perfect duo, stealing loot from the most heavily guarded ships, kidnapping royals and other well-to-dos and ransoming them off to their families and other involved parties, and killing anyone who got in their way. After a couple years together, as many people do when spending so much time together, they fell in love with each other. She shared with him all her secrets and her father's tales. And he shared with her his entire past and fears. They loved each other very much. When they were away from each other, they would write love letters to each other and when they returned, they would put the letters in a old and beautiful chest made of strong metal and locked with a heart shaped key. She put every gift in it that he gave her, while he put every gift she gave him. But one day, her lover, who she loved more than anything, disappeared one night. She woke up the next morning to find her bed empty. She got up, thinking he had just gotten up early that morning for some reason, but she found an empty ship, except for the crew sleeping below, and one last letter in the chest, telling her goodbye. The letter was written in his handwriting, but gave no clue or reason as to why he left or where. She put the letter back in the chest and walked to the edge of the ship. She set the chest down and clutched her locket to her chest before placing it in the chest and then locking it. She dumped the box into the ocean, watching it sink to the bottom, thinking of all the tales her mother told her of her father, the time she spent with her mother, and the time she spent with her lover. Wondering where both him and her father were. Wondering if her father was alive and where her lover was. She looked at the key and then went back to her quarters, where she placed the key within a small journal she had been keeping since she left the islands. She gripped the journal and placed it inside of a small sack with some other random items such as a jewel she had found and an old cup. She steer the boat to a dock on the island of Jamaica and gave the sack to a young woman there who spoke perfect English and lived with her old grandfather. Clara left the island afterwards and never returned to it or the islands she was born on. Well, that is my boring and sad tale of lost love and longing for things I cannot have. Pity, huh?"
