Dubstep works here, because it makes a mechanical aesthetic even more mechanical, making a dark and dreary song even darker and drearier.

I bought this album when it first came out and I have every thing they released and a few unreleased. And I agree they are an inspiring band and most likely in my opinion gave rise to the diversity and artistic talent we are enjoying today. That being said, I feel you are continuing in the direction that they inspired. Pink Floyd is like a Picasso, you did not paint over it, you put it in a different frame (of mind). Keep it up. Do NOT let people stop you from using the tools that inspire YOU!
