Apparently, this is one of the last recorded songs with Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett on the lead /slide guitar. For a while this was disputed. Some thought it was Gilmore(?) I always thought this HAD to be Syd. The slide work is incredible, and fast. Richard Wright wrote some of the best songs PF ever recorded.

I dunno, a lot of people prefer the Barrett era, and I used to hate it. Now I don't think it's my favourite, but it's still pretty good. What I don't understand is why people say the ok Piper and Saucerful songs are great. Interstellar Overdrive, Bike and Set the Controls for example. They're ok, but I can't believe no one else likes Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk, Apples and Oranges, and Jugband Blues. Those are three well written songs.
