I saw this as a condemnation of war, in general. Yes, it is filled with World War II imagery, as is the rest of the album and movie, but ultimately, it shows how senseless war is (the blood running down the storm drain) and how it dehumanizes all it touches (those gas mask creatures).

At the start is a white dove of peace, this however is soon lost 'along with a nice blue sky' because the peace dove becomes the Raven of war 'a bomber of the Nazi Luftwaffe of course' who else? it cannot be the Faroe Islands can it?I don't think they bother with dropping bombs, they're more into fishing, or Albania either? because they cannot afford a paper Aeroplane nevermind bombs. I do hope this clarify's matters and those Ravens soon knew death themselves the RAF saw to that! and we did the same to Dresden.Now run along and remember not to bombs on one another won't you?.

So this music video is all about symbolism... I understand about everything but the mechanical bird bit, I'm pretty sure this is showing the Nazis destroying everything, but I could be wrong... Can anyone clear this up? Thanks.
