Lyrics:

Take all your overgrown infants away somewhere

And build them a home, a little place of their own.

The Fletcher Memorial

Home for Incurable Tyrants and Kings.

And they can appear to themselves every day

On closed circuit T.V.

To make sure they're still real.

It's the only connection they feel.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, Reagan and Haig,

Mr. Begin and friend, Mrs. Thatcher, and Paisly,

"Hello Maggie!"

Mr. Brezhnev and party.

"Scusi dov'è il bar?"

The ghost of McCarthy,

The memories of Nixon.

"Who's the bald chap?"

"Good-bye!"

And now, adding colour, a group of anonymous latin-

American meat packing glitterati.

Did they expect us to treat them with any respect?

They can polish their medals and sharpen their

Smiles, and amuse themselves playing games for awhile.

Boom boom, bang bang, lie down you're dead.

Safe in the permanent gaze of a cold glass eye

With their favorite toys

They'll be good girls and boys

In the Fletcher Memorial Home for colonial

Wasters of life and limb.

Is everyone in?

Are you having a nice time?

Now the final solution can be applied.

The Final Cut (occasionally subtitled A Requiem For The Post-War Dream by Roger Waters[1]) is the twelfth studio album by English progressive rock group Pink Floyd. It was released on 21 March 1983 by Harvest Records in the United Kingdom, and several weeks later by Columbia Records in the United States. The Final Cut is Pink Floyd's last studio album to include founding member, bassist and songwriter Roger Waters, and their only album on which he alone is credited for writing and composition. It is also the only Pink Floyd album that does not feature keyboardist Richard Wright.

"Boom-boom, bang-bang, lie down, you're dead." Really fuck-off you waning, greedy, selfish, murdering 'leaders'. We don't want or need you any more, never did, with your illusion of democracy, your war warmongering rhetoric, just fuck off.

I can think of several people who deserve such a place. Besides the people named in this song, Adolf Hitler, Fred Phelps, David Koresh, Saddam Hussein, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell.

I didn't even know this album existed until last year, even though my father is a huge fan. It's criminally underrated, after finding it it quickly became one of my favorites

This album didn't have so much success because of the Wall... I think that The Wall is overrated

Treat them with any respect part... is sarcastic. Like saying and on top of all evil you have done you want to treated with respect?

Overgrown infants: They are called immature.Selfish, incapable of touching reality. And then safe under camera surveillance with their favorite weapons. (Toys).
