Im glad I was born in 1971 because without dark side of the moon, mum would play it & out like a lite! They & the Beatles were the very best in their time? And allways will be? Know one even knows how to create music like that annymore, & never will. I loved every album ever produced. Even waters albums & Gilmore albums as well their will never be a band with their tallents Again. LONG LIVE THE FLOYD.I WILL LOVE THEM TO THE DAY I DIE???????

@ 1:43 ....believe it or not you all know who this man is....if you own 'Dark Side of the Moon'....that is Chris "I've been mad for fucking years..absolutely years..." Adamson. One of the voices on the album. He was a Floyd roadie

Actually I should delete my previous comment. As I read it now, it's completely wrong. Must have been a combination of too many beers and having just listened to The Madcap Laughs. You're absolutely correct, Pink Floyd became great because Gilmour added his guitar genius and Waters came forward and started asserting himself, and that combined with the musical excellence of Wright and Mason.

Are you serious? Barrett was a great musician, but his genius is nowhere near Water's, or even Gilmour's. Pink Floyd was so amazing because of how well Waters and Gilmour's mind clicked together - Water's concepts, together with Gilmour's musicallity - that is the Pink Floyd Sound, period. Saying that Barrett was more important/would've been better for Pink Floyd just shows how you failed to grasp how the magic behind the Pink Floyd Sound happened.

There is not standard "look" for any of the gods of Greek or Roman mythology. Apollo was the god of war, while Adonis was the god of beauty. Clearly, Adonis is much more appropriate for Gilmour.

To me it seems so obvious in this video that Waters is the answer to the question "which one of these does not belong?" I think the perfect incarnation of Pink Floyd would have been with Gilmour replacing Waters instead of Barrett, assuming Syd had kept his head together of course. Can you imagine what Barrett, Gilmour, Wright and Mason would have created together?

No. Apollo has the broader, rounder features more similar to David hence my association. The other Greek God look is the finer, slender, and sharper features which David doesn't have.

You mean Adonis. Adonis is the male parallel of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of beauty.

I watched a Syd interview just last night and noticed that Most of the time he & Rick looked enough alike to have been Brothers :)
