I wonder if those saying they like Allison's version heard hers first whilst those preferring Sheryl's heard hers first?I like both but heard Allison's first on a Country radio station but tended to hear Sheryl's more on Pop stations. I also think Sheryl has a higher worldwide profile than Allison and is probably the version that has been heard more around the world.

I love and respect Sheryl...but Allison's vocal on this song is totally sick! Strong, urgent and 100% believable!

I have been listening to every version of this song I can find so far. Heard Kid Rock sing it with Sheryl, Martina, Miranda but this is the best lady I have heard so far. Now just need to find a guy to sing it better than Kid Rock.

I was looking for this song forever. I remember when this version came out, it was on satelite radio at a bar I worked at, and it played over and over again. I thought it was Cher. Then when the Sheryl Crow version came out, I thought that I had imagined this version!!

He cowrote the song with Sheryl Crow but her record label didn't want to release it for whatever reason, so they recorded it with Allison Moorer and released it.

This is by far the best version of the song. Kid Rock's voice is clear and Allison Moore is obviously the best female voice for the song. The recording quality and mix is outstanding. Thanks for this version!!
