@Didya51 I think I know what you're talking about. I was at a show in Austin, just went in and started watching never heard of this band. Some guy started yelling a bunch of stupid juvenile bullshit at the girl singing. I told him to shut the fuck up and he tried to pick a fight with me. I never gave a shit about them, didn't know who he was. The bouncer booted him out, I heard later he was in GBV and got his ass beat later. Fuck him. He was a dick. Is that what you're referring to?

@timmdrum I don't know them, sorry,. Lisa is the only person that stands out for me from that time other than my closest friends.

@pbh94515 - I remember EGMS was 6th & 7th and the next school was 8th & 9th. I was born in 71 so we weren't there at the same time. Did/do you know any of the other people I mentioned? They were all my age except Stacey was a year older. Maybe you went to high school with some of them, if you stayed in Garner... They all would've been freshmen when you were a senior, except Stacey, a soph.

@timmdrum- East Garner was 6th & 7th grade. North Garner had 8th & 9th grade at the time I think. I was born in 68 so this was the early 80s. I remember she and I talking about the band Let's Active. REM was just breaking and Mitch Easter was their producer. We weren't very close but she definitely left an impression.

pbh94515- When were you and Lisa at East Garner Middle? I was there for 6th grade [came from, I think, North Garner Elementary...? Is/was there such a school?] and was pals with twins named Scott & Jeff, Stacey & Jessica Sneeden, Terri Hipes [not sure if I spelled all those names right]. I moved to Atlantic Beach summer '83 and began 7th grade down there. Lisa's name sounds familiar but EGMS was a loooong time ago...

Also, Lisa was in Prophets of Circe with me where she played bass... backwards and left-handed, I might add. I am honored to still own Lisa's Music Man guitar amp that was kicked off the stage at many Picasso Trigger shows. Long live Picasso Trigger and Lisa Cooper! One of the best bands to ever rock the 90s.

Lisa Cooper was a very good friend, a good roommate and one of the best damn guitarists ever to walk this planet. She died in December 2008 after a long fight with lung cancer. If you have footage of them playing, please post it. Allow their brilliance to shine on. One of the best live shows I have ever seen. Much respect to all of Picasso Trigger. To Lisa, we miss you so much.

I'm from Raleigh and even though I can't say I was very close to Lisa Cooper during most of her life I did speak to her occasionally when we were classmates at East Garner Middle School during the early 80s. She was a different type of person even at that young of an age. By different I mean she was more mature than most of us. I was saddened to hear of her passing. The world is lesser for it.

Picasso Trigger...one of the most, if not THE most, under-appreciated bands from NC ever. I was also at the show with Drunken Boat and Geezer Lake, as well as many others. Nights at the Milestone with about 20 people in the crowd, Chapel Hill, Greensboro...I traveled any and everywhere to see these guys and gals.

hi jon here. i wasn't in the video because i had to have a job to support my musical habit. so when video time came i was out of town and like they say the show had to go on. but don't you think the blow up doll did a good job as a stand in? but seriously, i was bummed that i had to miss it. i'm hoping to take one more stab at playing but it gets harder and harder to get into a band as the years tick by!! but thanks for asking. jon mcclain

I got a tape of these guys from a friend of a friends brother maybe 15 years ago, and over the years bought all their cd's, some of them three times cause they kept getting lost and stolen, and made my own picasso trigger t-shirt back in highschool even. They totally influenced me musically, even though I play like bluegrass and other kinda stuff now. They just rocked, enough said.
