i love this album i love the whole mythology around it i think this album ws when phoenix really found their sound and vision to be magnificent also i completely relate to the things they say in this video: an artist must trascend his pain and get to the most people possible and also the part when they say they wrote like a thousand parts before they could craft complete songs , i relate to this too cause i'm a musician , and im about to finish my first nuch of songs and this is soo true

The part about the middle section made me laugh hysterically. The whole pirate explanation, 'sink that ship!', and then the random mascot sitting behind them while they were listening/mixing/whatever. Wow.
