It kind of makes me sad that the writer (or co-writer I suppose) of this song only gets 20,000 views yet Jo Dee Messina has over 2 million. Don't get me wrong, I love Jo Dee Messina, it's just sad.

This song makes me think of my mind. It has seemed to have left somewhere without me. Oh well, bye bye! Bye Bye, my baby Bye Bye!

He has a ton of really big songs - such as this - which he wrote and others made famous. For that reason he was alot of fun to see in concert. Very talented guy

@neonpenguins1997 The first big hit version, as @KungFuChickenWing said, was in 1998. However, Phil Vassar had written this about 3 years prior to it being released and made famous by Jo Dee Messina. Hope this answered your question

@neonpenguins1997 This song came out in 1998 by Jo Dee Messina, but Phil Vassar is the writer of the song and released his own version in 2006 with his Greatest Hits, Vol 1 Phil Vassar album. I personally prefer Vassar's version of the song, you should check out his version of Litte Red Rodeo he also wrote that song for Colin Raye. Anyways there's your answer, have fun and take care, Sylvie.
