Phil and Knopfler were stablemates at Phonogram records.. rumour has it that Lynott stumbled in on Straits recordings and struck up a friendship with MK. Asked if he`d be willing to contribute to Phil`s forthcoming album MK replied no problem, and this great song was a result.

Probably the best Elvis Presley tribute song following Elvis' death. Serious, poignant and intense -- with just a little respectable humor thrown in. Lynott was one of the very best.

I like Metallica, van Halen, Steve Vai and many of guitar heroes, but Mark Knopfler shows in this solo, that he's the best.
