wow people..i was born in the 80's and i know just by listening to this song that it is obviously him singing to the one who hurt him..you know the part about all the lies..ect., i like the song...its a very emotional song indeed. Oh yeah and the drum solo is amazing!

It's Phil's own quote about the meaning of the lyrics:-*I don't know what this song is about. When I was writing this I was going through a divorce. So what makes it even more comical is when I hear these stories which started many years ago, particularly in America, of someone come up to me and say, 'Did you really see someone drowning?'
