Too bad Mrs Petula did not sing this version at Drury Lane Theater in London last October. I love both the original and this one (very moving).

This was the first "45" I bought as a young man in the 60's. The original recording has never grown old to me and I still love hearing it. That said, this new version took a couple of listens to get used to it but I find myself listening to it over and over again. Nothing will ever replace the original but this version is great also. I would also recommend her recent version with the Saw Doctors if you like something closer to the original.
