Referencia Biblica: 2 de Cronicas 10:4, Santiago 5:16

Out on your own with your own self reliance

You've got no one to watch your back

You find yourself caught with no strong alliance

You've been left open for attack

Over your head the condition is graver

You've given ground you can't retrieve

The cards are stacked and they're not in your favor

But you've got an ace up your sleeve

(Coro)

Get on your knees and fight like a man

You'll pull down strongholds if you just believe you can

Your enemy will tuck his tail and flee

Get on your knees and fight like a man

Under the gun, you've got no place to hide out

Backed in the corner on your own

This is one storm you are destined to ride out

One way to leave the danger zone

You've got the backbone to fight this tide

You've got the will to survive

You've got the weapon, it's at your side

You've got to learn to confide

"Ponte De Rodillas Y Pelea Como Un Hombre"

Coro:

This song speaks to my greatest spiritual struggle. I act like I believe I can conquer sin and battle my problems with my own effort. After I create disasters for myself, then I remember to pray. One of these days I'll convince my stubborn self to pray first.

I can completely relate to this song. Many, many nights alone have led me to fight on my knees.

to...not AT sbasmaling. I had a mother-in-law that was Church of Christ. Hard Core. She swore everyone was a heathen or blasphemous if the name of their Church did not contain the word Christ. The baptist part of my family and the catholic part of my family were worshiping John the Baptist, and idols according to her...and the Jewish part, were Christ killers! and nothing more. Just a suggestion, why do you not get up there, in a large forum with proper permission, and make it mainstream?

@UnknownPetraFan amen to that!

@sbasmaling make a song that sounds so much like the world with no mention of God, that you can only tell it's supposed to be Christian by the group which sings it. With as much music as is out in the world there will be some works that are quite close to others, and that's cool, it's not that which I was speaking of. Sorry for offending you. On another note, there will probably never be another Band like Petra. The days of that kind of music seem to be over. Days of autotune reign.

@wwwuraRetard Hmm. Maybe you misunderstood my comment, but that's okay. There is plenty of great Christian music out there and we can all have our own opinion. The point is does it glorify God, does it encourage other Christians, does it draw people to Christ? Those, in my mind, are the guidelines for great Christian music. I realize that there are similarities in music, but what I was speaking of is when people take secular songs and make them 'christian' by just changing the words or (cont)

I saw them in concert in Joplin, MO back in 87 on their "THIS MEANS WAR TOUR" & Stephen Curtis Chapman opened for them. I so wanted to talk to the members of Petra being a BIG fan but they did their set and left so fast your head could spin. But I did get to spend an hour talking to Stephen Curtis Chapman (which at that time was just rising to fame - never heard of him before). I can tell you this, Stephen was so genuine and down to earth. He gave me encouragement to continue with my music.
