"My ear is my compass. Its the music that you should follow to understand where you belong.

After I traveled distant lands - carried in the arms to NY, waterskied with ma backpack, kissed giraffes, and floated in pink lakes - I now ride with Reindeer, following the sound of a Flute that finally leads me to ma people, a nomad tribe of Blushed Cheek Girls.

The flute is a journey inspired by "The Rite of Spring", the outrageous 1913 Russian Ballet of Stravinsky and Nijinsky,

the movie "Mongol", and "The Sound of Music".

To film, me and my team rode into the Mongolian hills of Genghis Khan

by truck and horseback, where I follow the sound of the Flute.

In the story as in life, it is the music that uplifts me and leads me on my way.

In "The Flute" video I travel after the sound I created in the studio with Swedish prouducer Jocke Ahlund.

Its always in the studio where I start to visualize how my songs can come to life,

then with my team, we travel all over the world to create those lil' realities.

In the flute, its a picture of a blushed Monglian girl which I connected with,

cause of a traumatic sunburn i had as a child.

In my teens i started putting on the blush to mark the memory of the pain, i felt as alien,

but as an artist this mark is now an identity.

Wear your trauma proudly. Find your tribes."

I really love this music video (by the way music too). Northern Mongolian stunning nature and culture is so much suited in Petite's artsy wildness. But I have little issue. The wrestler scene is maybe little bit out of the place. It looks and feels not suited, and I think if they were hunters (instead of wrestlers) that would be awesome (at least in my opinion). Rest of the video is amazing. I like the fact that only her clothes are made for the video, all rest of the things (sets, animals, people too) is actual Mongolian culture like. Like studio went there and started filming without changing anything.

You can't see well but Mongolia has some of the most prettiest and dainty wildflowers. I was so surprised to see this video with Mongolian setting!? I was just doing some paradise grasslands runs these past few months. I suggest you check out HAYA which expresses the pure beauty of nature from Mongolia at a world class quality. btw I don't see it as cultural appropriation and I'm mongol (my grandpa helped make Inner Mongolia a part of china.)
