Christ! I'm drowning in my own tears here! Tragic isn't the word. If you wanna freshen up check out the Mayall/Green Live In LOndon '67 stuff elsewhere on here. It'll get your heart racing soon enough! Plus you'll discover some quite unbelievable performances. Ever wondered what the Bluesbreakers were like 'live' with Peter Green? Easy. Devastating!

It's just great to see him - enjoying himself. You can't expect things to last forever. Sublime talent at his peak, all ended rather cruelly. But, that little window of time - mesmerizing. If he wants to just sit back and bathe in the limelight it's ok with us. Peter Green......Legend.

I'm sure it's been said, but sad to see him in this state. Such a legend, such a waste.

It totally amazes me how some people just don't get it! Stevie Ray Vaughan insisted Peter Green was his inspiration to play and BB King said Peter Green was the only "White" player to make him cry. Reallity check for some. Unlike most of the ego's of the time, Peter Green just allowed his guitar to do the talking Yep Clapton is great same as Beck, Page, Iommi and Knopfler Joe Santriani posibly the most technically profficient of all then there is Blackwood and Of course Gary Moore who again stated that Peter Green was his mentor/inspiration So choose who you like but Legend is an often over used word. Peter Green was / is a total legend and if what happened hadn't of happened well who knows - All I know is when every one else of the above mentioned is grimacing to hit that note Peter just found it. A true Legend who is grateful for where he is.

I find this video very sad, and I don't mean because of the wondrously sad song. The legacy Peter has left to music is, of course, a bunch of great tunes and songs and recordings of some of the finest blues guitar playing ever. It's priceless, without a doubt. So, I'd rather remember just that than recall the shadow of the musician he was, on stage seemingly being used as a show ground exhibit to attract the crowds. It just seems wrong.
