You nailed it, I'm with you on that. I'm old enough to have seen the original band at various venues in and around London back in the day. Regent Poly '68 was a great night out! PS. I love the idea that Gary Moore payed huge money for Pete's old Les Paul because of its unique tonal quality.....and then fed it through a flanger. I mean....What!!

You said.."Clapton today is a hundred time better peter was..." You STILL are an idiot! Look above..what you said was that Clapton TODAY is better that Peter ever Was!! What fucking crap!! Now if you said Clapton today is better than Peter NOW, I would agree, but Clapton TODAY isn't even as good as Clapton himself WAS during the Mayall days..He has lost all his fire, and Peter was ALWAYS better than Clapton when he (Peter) was in his prime. So your comment is still wrong!

Hey stupid im talking about TODAY! i said it 2 times... well doesn't matter anymore. Music is about Sharing not competing...

Idiot..Clapton in his prime with Mayall couldn't play like this, subtle but strong...After Clapton went solo he became a guitar wimp. On stage he is almost embarrassing...he did try to rekindle his fire with a blues album in the 90's but no one would know he was ever a "God" if listening to him now! Peter has his own demons, and while Clapton has fared better over the years, doesn't diminish Peter's work in his prime. Clapton was a technician. Peter played the blues!

The ultimate guitar playing ever and the ultimate example of a 3-piece cutting the mustard. John McVie, Mick Fleetwood and Peter Green. Recorded at CBS studios I think - magnificent recording - unsurpassed. Forget the rest - Peter Green - always the best.

clapton today is a hundred time better peter was... bbking said that peter green was the only man who make him swet... but then he had and lsd overdose... and his personality changed forever... que couldnt feel the blues again the same way he did. Eric clapton fought against hes drugs adictions too, after his sons death when he fell from a 53d floor, and he won. Today, que is the best bluesman, want it or not. so stop talkin' shits please.

I known exactly what you mean. I found out about both Peter Green and Rory Gallagher only within the lest eight months or so. They're both, frankly, much better than Clapton was even in his early years.
