I took a trip many years ago into North Mexico for one goal: To seek out the giant peyote fields that are still untouched in the region. It wasn't a long journey at all. They are still there in all their glory. So there I was, sneaking across the border, hitching a ride 40 miles South into greatness. Upon that little bit of creating myself (as I'd already found myself), I got to experience that which everyone should at least once in their lifetime. Upon returning to both myself and the US (I had to sneak back), the first song I listened to on my come down was "Signal to Noise", on an overpass, in Big Bend National Park, under the full bloom of brilliant star gazing and wonderful peyote comedown-ness. Nothing could put that memory and experience into words really. But it is something that I would encourage anyway to this day to take and experience. Signal to noise, speak loud and clear, let your voice be your power; and distort the distortion that surrounds.
