Everyone has different opinions regarding the orchestra. To me the orchestral portrayal is inspiring, the conductor does a really great job. It is not created to compare to Peter's studio version with synthesiser/sound effects. It is just a piece of work that stands on its own merits. I personally can't help but be stirred by the orchestral effort, great work!

I love so much of his music, but if pressed, I would say this is his best song. Or maybe San Jacinto, or Here Comes the the Flood or Mercy Street or Intruder, I don't know! But I don't like the orchestral treatment of this song. It takes the song out of the jungle from whence it springs.

As much as I love Peter's music, orchestrating it has robbed it of its primeval animalism. It is too refined and pretty much academic.
