I recall the daily news reports of the calls for an independent investigation of Steve Biko's death, and the bringing to justice of those responsible. Apartheid was on the ropes by this stage, though it would be another 12 years or so before it was consigned to the trash bin of history. This song is an eloquent portrayal of the inexorable tide of justice that would not be contained, as well as being one of the best album closers in rock history.
