Condemning a talented geezer cos he looked at a load of pixels; fracking hypocrisy. Can l have your boots when you've finished with 'em, Peter?

In spite of Pete's comment in the beginning, I think Roger's got him on this one....and by a long margin......

How could she just sit there and not hardly move? She must be obtunded. I am so moved each and every time I hear this. I cry. So beautiful and powerful.

Thanks for sharing your interpretation! I thought 'she' was the same person 'you' who came like fragrance but now I think I might be wrong. Anyway let's enjoy interpreting Pete's songs in our own way.

I am so not worthy.. Saw The Who 4 times in concert in my life. I feel privileged as hell to have seen them when I did... Alas, my son will not be able to experience the epicness of seeing them in concert. Moon, Entwhistle, Townsend, Daltrey. Greatest rock band in the history of the World. Period.

And maybe he played guitar a lot already and she thought she was holding him back from getting really good so she broke up with him so he could devote all his time to guitar. haha like I said I really don't know I'm just guessing.

Yeah I think so. I think that part means his (whoever's prospective the song's told from) girlfriend breaks up with him and he plays guitar a lot to get it off his mind or something and get's really good at it and becomes a star. I'm not sure that's just how I interpret it.

Yes thanks! I'm very happy now. So 'he' means the old guitar, right?

"And a train rolled in for me. accepted in the eye what the eye could see. she gave me away to an old guitar. she new I loved him. he was my pal. he was my brother and he was free. she gave me away so I could become a star." is this what you're looking for?

It has some lyric that isn't sung in the studio recording. Could somebody transcript it for me? It starts 3:35.

I think he's talking about Roger Daltrey. I don't know for sure I could be wrong.
