Pestilence's last few albums have amazing riffs, but the songs overall feel pretty lacking. This isn't the best example of a song that feels incomplete, I like this one a lot.Resurrection Macabre has a lot better examples. It's like they make a song for every riff they come up with. I feel like their songs would be more enjoyable if they merged some songs together and had more riff transitions, though that may be venturing into a territory they don't want to go in. Understandable.

They're only getting better over time.

Just like Morbid Angel... except for the live stuff. At least that stuff still reigns supreme \m/

Huge letdown considering their early work and previous album.

Not a big fan of the vocals, everything else seems fine. I think the reason some people like Drunen's vocals was because it felt like it was a part of the music, it fit, didn't fluctuate in pitch, but I think here its just..idk. 2:49 Holy Shit!!!!!

Not many. People tend to forget history, you can see it clearly in the pestilence video comments

I agree, this album is sick! reminds me of spheres.. but yet they took it to another level.. really cool!

Though i like the more not-so-straightforward Pestilence albums i like this one and it is really different from the majority of the rhythmical based bands today. The voice is perfect, it reminds me of Spheres with less effects like echo etc. Perfect

Have you ever heard of Spheres ? It is almost the same voice, slightly more clear

No doubt, eh? I swear YouTube has more useless commentary than any other medium the world over.

AMAZING song from a killer album- the vocals SICK AS SHIT and as always, a true-life, pertinent message of rage....Check out Consuming Impulse from the 80's- WAY ahead of its time. Pestilence are so underrated and continue to push death metal, but Nile's new one from this past July just....fucking takes the cake.

does anyone listening to this realize that pestilence is one of the originators of this music?
