as someone who's a total noob when it comes to black metal, one thing that I always find interesting about BM is how similar many of the chord progressions are to alternative rock. if one were to take out the shrieking and the solos, a song like this could easily be made to sound like something that vaguely resembled post-hardcore or some other subgenre that falls under the alt-rock umbrella.

Probably one of my top 10 favorite black metal songs. I love Black Metal that is raw, with a groovy beat, and melancholy, not the schizophrenic kind were you cant even make out the rhythm or anything that comes from the bowels of Century Media
