To my Dad. Never did tell him how much he meant to me, but when I got to thinking of all the people that meant so much in my life, he was the one who was always kind, hard-working, always there. I look forward to seeing him again some day. Perry expressed it so right.

Perry sang this in a couple of concerts and you knew he was singing it for his wife Roselle....... they were married 63 years I believe, but she passed away 3 or 4 years before Perry.

We played this at our fathers funeral. Perry seems to do the best job of this, and I think the song was really written for a man to sing it. My father grew up in the same era as Perry and this is what he would have sung to mom at the funeral if he could have, with everyone watching. It was a very emotional service for anyone who knew our parents. Thanks for posting this.
