On this day in 1950 {March 4th} the Walt Disney movie 'Cinderella' opened in theaters across the U.S.A. and Canada...Perry Como & the Fontane Sisters released a covered version of "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo", the song was featured in the movie; their version peaked at #14 on Billboard's Best Sellers chart...Verna Felton, voice of the Fairy Godmother, performed the song in the movie; and Ms. Felton was nominated twice, in 1958 & 1959, for an Emmy Award for 'Best Supporting Actress, Comedy Series' for the TV series 'December Bride'...Also the B-side of Perry Como's version of "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" was another song from the motion picture, "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes"...

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo ( The Magic Song ) Lyrics: If your mind is in a dither an' your heart is in a haze I'll haze your dither and dither your haze with a magic phrase (bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!) If you're chased around by trouble an' followed by a jinx I'll jinx your trouble and trouble your jinx In less than forty winks!

This is exactly the version I remember, when I first heard it, actually in 1950. It was my introduction to Perry Como as well. Thank you for posting it.

I wish I could find an MP3 of this...I would love to get it on my iPod somehow. His voice is so smooth, and this is just such a cute rendering of this song!
