I'm not big on the vox. Don't get me wrong he's a great singer it's just metal and pop vox don't go hand in hand. you might as well stick Justin Bieber in the mix too. I'm open minded to lots of styles but it's just ugh for me. It's one thing if the guy sounded like the singer from Textures but it's not the case here. I don't mean to offend anyone here. It's just not my thing.

Congratulations to Matt for making the most catching song of the EP, as being the most watched video of the album :) Personally, it sounded in my head for months

Being 15 days clean of heroin and loving the vibrations I've been getting from my ego death. You guys make them so intense and your music rings true to my soul. Halpern always kills it on drums and I love jamming along with him. I've never had music speak so deeply to me. Love you guys, can't wait to see you at Phily in February. Hope you aren't burnt out by that time of the tour because I'm gonna be ready to dance/throw down haha. Rock on <3

I don't know what you're listening to, but I'm not getting a Slipknot vibe. I'm getting a damn good Periphery vibe, though!!

Halpern crushes this. I hear so many great elements. First off, I agree there's some Slipknot - esque drum hammering (maybe an overdub, idk) over the main drum track, or maybe it's just Matt being the beast that he is, incorporating those fills in the pattern. Seems to me an overdub cuz I hear cymbal hits at the same time, just my logic being a drummer. And just let me say that of all the djent prog stuff out now, Halpern sets these guys apart. Billy Rymer, Matt Garstka and Halpern are killing it right now. Back to the 'knot stuff - Periphery DID cover The Heretic Anthem, so there's obviously some 666 blood in their veins. However, what's great is the knot sounding part followed by the Periphery we all know and love. They give us the taste of their influence, then their twist on it. Keep evolving I say. I definitely hear some Greg Pucciato vocal influence in the higher register (1:55). Spencer has the range, it's nice to hear him flex it. 2:20 just screams Animals as Leaders, I love it. 3:11 sounds like a poppy radio vocal break, but what follows is more of the Periphery crushingness. Solid overall. I don't see this so much as a left turn for these guys, but an expansion of what was already tight and powerful. Keep growing. Predictability is the enemy.

i can hear the parts where people would compare it to slipknot, but progressively and just in my opinion they are nothing alike

One of the best songs from Periphery ever. The vocals blend so well on this, and the extra "pop" is nice once in a while.

Hahaha! First they get shit from Meshuggah-fans for sounding like Meshuggah, now from knot-fans for sounding like Slipknot? They're like what Rafael was to Michelangelo and Davinci (could I sound more pretentious?)

Love spencer's vocals in this And i can hear the slipknot in this but they seemed to put a heavy final fantasy feel to all these tracks

It makes me happy to see Periphery get progressively more popular. They really deserve it. :)

There is no slipknot reference what so ever.. All I hear is the bliss that is periphery... Honestly there isn't a second of the song that can compare to slipknot * not that they suck or anything* idk why the top comment on here is one referencing this to slipknot. So fucking wrong
