This album was released in 1978? Oh my God. It's astonishing how an album like this was released in 1978; there was nothing like it back in the day.

I nostri giorni hanno per lo più perso contestualizzazione, spazio e tempo. Scopiazziamo tempi andati, mode e ritmi già ascoltati. Ci appoggiamo sempre più alla tecnologia ed abbiamo perso il genio e il piacere di fare e ascoltare musica (e non solo). Forse sarebbe bene fare un ripassino, umilmente tornare indietro e ripartire dai maestri geniali e sperimentatori. Addentriamoci nell'underground dei localacci malfamati delle città dove nascevano gruppi e spartiti unici, inimitabili, onirici, effimeri e fantastici. Scopriamo questi uomini soffocati dall'industria dell'overcapitalismo e ascoltiamo quei ragazzi persi nei sobborghi fumogeni delle capitali che, tra alcool, acidi e voglia di ribalta, gridavano la loro insoddisfazione, con voci staziate e capelli tagliati con l'accetta.

I haven't treated myself to this for SO long - Pere Ubu's The Modern Dance, inspiring stuff - and they went on to amaze me by reinventing themselves as a band with every album. I always wanted to send a complete set of this band's work to the truly innovative and open-minded composer Gyorgy Ligeti, but I wasn't as wealthy back then as I seem to be now, while he has since left the planet. Oh well.
