I personally prefer Victor Young's version, but I would still think that either Young's version or this one posted here are far more desirable because they express the sentiment of the song far better than either Richard Hayman's or Les Baxter's version.Another poster mentioned Return to Paradise from this same Percy Faith album? While not inconsiderable a version,here I will take David Rose's version, along with his version of The Bad and the Beautiful.The Song from Moulin Rouge, in its double length format, also from this album, is a respectable setting, and I would alsorecommend the one by members of the Boston Pops Orchestra under Arthur Fiedler.But I will always own that these tastes are completely subjective, and others may feel differently.9 years ago
