joan baez did this in the 60s; it's called Railroad Boy. As a kid I played it endlessly, but as an adult, couldn't find it. Then a friend had an Pete Seeger's Rainbow show on (UHF - remember?) with the Clancys, and Tommy Makem began to sing. I RAN to the TV going "That's it! That's it!" Then I found the original by Joan Baez; listen to the conversation after Makem sings - and discovered it was a different song, BBoy is better than RBoy, and Tommy Makem's version is way tops over all of them.
