Happy Birthday Peetie Wheatstraw (December 21, 1902 – December 21, 1941) was the name adopted by the singer William Bunch, an influential figure among 1930s blues singers. Although the only known photograph of Bunch shows him holding a National brand tricone resonator guitar, he played the piano on most of his recordings. -Wiki

Sorry, this is no boogie-woogie, this is typical St. Louis barrelhouse blues taken on a medium tempo. This is the talented Peete Wheatstraw, with his typical voice. No other! I have to find out who the pianist is.

I was about to say this sounds remastered-the recording is so crisp it's unbelievable-and then I noticed in the info that it is.Fantastic job.If you listen to a lot of the older Blues cats the recordings are quite raw.(which is not always such a bad thing Btw) Thanks so much for this backwoods.

@MrBellsBlues: If it says his name is William Bunch, that is Peetie Wheatstraw's real name.
