Pearson Sound (Ramadanman) - Gambetta / So Far ago (SJR21512)

"Highly impressive dubstep sonics from Pearson Sound aka Ramadanman. I'm really a little shocked at how good this record is. With the title track 'Gambetta Sound' Mr David Kennedy has managed to shift the dubstep style into somewhere far more interesting by fully incorporating field recordings - usually left to interludes and album tracks - into a very strong dancefloor groove, playing with our sense of spatial awareness in a very uncanny fashion. The dhol-alike riddimic undulations form a Pinch style rollidge leading to a breakdown reminding us of the finest tracks from Pole's first couple of albums and will massively appeal to fans of any or both artists. 'So Far Ago' on the flip again moves into a higher league of production levels generally occupied by the likes of Hyperdub and Transition's L.D, combining sweet soul signatures with detailed drums and an achingly lush soundsphere that we guarantee will sound stunning on headphones. With this record he's cleverly blended the experience of listening to dubstep on a walkman while mooching through the city, where surrounding incidental sounds are unwittingly knitted into the fabric of the production and in the process made a very special record. Highly recommended!" (http://boomkat.com)

I dig this track big time. Just that tiny little two-chord stab.

It has the strangest wobble, yet it is such an easy tune...
