fair enough. I think i was slightly misunderstood, when i said that his voice got "harsher". In fact you're right, he is singing in a softer way (less power/ less "ferocity") but his vocal glands are more baritone than in the early days. his voice got harsher, scratchier and deeper. He doesnt scream as wild as he used to, to an extent that his arteries are about to burst :P his singing got softer, his voice didnt ;) Other than that its hard to jugde from a Live mobile phone footage. ;)

I have to say that I don't really agree. Yeah he got older, but the ferocity just isn't there anymore like in the '91 and '92 tours. Just look at pinkpop '92 versus '00. Huge difference. Harsher? It's gotten a lot softer. Don't get me wrong, it's still really good with everything past VS. But the songs before that just don't sound quite right without the depth. Still love'em regardless.

you're right & wrong .... check out live recordings of Garden in the early 90s ( when he was still in his twenties, rather than forties) does his voice sound any better ? Are you aware how hard it is for any professional singer, to hit those high notes during live performances, after singing 10 / 15 songs in a row? not an easy job my friend, peace on :)

agree 100% dude! its Live... and everyone is judging his voice from a youtube recording. Being down there amongst the crowd infront of the stage... is a different story! and lets remind these ppl that he's not 27 years old anymore, and it its not easy to sing 15 songs straight in one concert!

Why are so many ppl saying that Eddie cant sing anymore? Its really not the case! his voice evolved, its deeper, harsher but not a fraction less good than it used to be. Please keep in mind: 1) that this is a Live recording 2) We arent standing infront of the stage amongst the crowd, 3) he's 47, not 27 anymore 4) it could have been one of the last songs of the concert, (quite a challenge for his vocal chords/ throat to endure all that fatigue) lets admit it he's bloody good! - peace on! ;)

@gndcd402 ya you could probably add garden to that list... don't know why singer's always seem to smoke, thats like a guitarist who plays with handsaws as a habit
