Three words-Sloooooow it down. I search Even Flow live constantly and this is a bad version. Way too fast. Sao Paulo version from a yr earlier is much better.

I played this next to the album version, and the album version hadnt even hit the last chorus by the time mike started soloing. I wish they had someone bettter. I mean matt is ok, but he just rushes all of the old songs. What a shame.

This version it's 10 times faster than the studio version! I think it looses all the "essentia", the so great guitar riff it's almost unrecognized. Too bad!

for what exact reason are they playing it so fast live? the song kinda gets all his power from this slow (even) flowing groovy riff, but it loses half of his power and groove if its just played this fast. i won't ever understand, but still, great song and great band.

This is nothing. Still a pretty good performance, but not their best. I saw them perform live in Los Angeles, February 1991. They opened up for Alice in Chains. Easily the best concert I've ever been to. Saw 2 legendary bands perform in the very early days of their career for no charge, because the concert was at a club. Eddie Vedder and Layne Staley were both amazing. At the time of that concert they hadn't even come up with the name Pearl Jam, so they were introduced as "Mookie Blaylock".
