This version isn't as good. Too bright and poppy. This is what happens when Sony or a big label tries to gloss over a great original track. The original with Marc Ford on lead blows this one away. Rich is a very good rhythm player, but he's not Marc.The organ is also superior to the piano along with the slightly slower tempo. They introduced this as a jam on the 1996 tour and it eventually was a song to go on the "Band" album in fall of 1997. We all know what happened then when the record label was sold and the crap hit the fan. A shame, but at least they finally released the original in 2006 on the superb Lost Crowes compilation.10 years ago

The Crowes were never great at picking their singles in my opinion. I heard this "bootleg" version before the Lost Crowes release and prefer it. It sounds younger and more upbeat. The most under-rated band in the past 30 years and so good live.12 years ago
