The 90's work of The Smashing Pumpkins was brilliant and that's why they are my favorite band, but Billy Corgan is an asshole for caring about TSP being mocked in this song, it's light hearted and funny and Corgan should grow a pair... Still don't forgive him for ruining TSP either...

I always assumed that Malkmus was deliberately singing out of his vocal range on this song and it was supposed to be a play on the title. You never hear his voice crack in any other Pavement song.
