Slanted and enchanted is not better than this album, despite popular opinion.

Some of Malkmus's most potent and focused lyrics, as he wills his old heroes into (unlikely) late life creative resurgences. Touching, funny, beautiful.

great song, only problem is Malkmus screaming at the end instead of a good guitar solo. Nobody I play it to gets that.

@humand1saster I believe the preferred nomenclature would be "a fucking moron", Dude.

Absolutely the best rock band (or "pop band" according to some comments by SM) of the 90's. I was lucky enough to catch SM & the Jicks on their last tour, as well as the Pavement reunion tour.... Amazing. Mr. Malkmus always puts on a great show too.

If we enjoy them then why should we care what other people think about them?

this band wasnt well recognized because they chose to stay out of the mainstream by only agreeing to be signed by an independent record label

@KaraokeSUBstar That's kind of the story of Pavement though, isn't it? One more amazing band that never got the recognition they truly deserved.

I hate when good songs and videos have such poor visitation..
