people seem to misunderstand the context of this video. Anyone who likes punk will understand this. It's not cool because he's playing the song well, it's cool because he's doing it on Jay Leno in the 90s. Bill Hicks, who all of you vapid internet trolls seem to rally around, cried his eyes out because he couldn't get his subversive material on network tv in the 90s. Here's this stoned kid singing about how fake all of this shit is and then treating Leno like a punk at the end. What the fuck else do you need to know.

Listen: I love Pavement. Summer Babe. Spit on a Stranger. Front to back: All that shit . The records were great. But let's just straight say it: They were a shitty live band. They just... weren't that likable.Malkmus squeeking like that... it doesn't work on TV. they earned the level of success they obtained. This band isn't gonna age well. They had their thing, though.
