I didn't see a live or studio version of this song on YouTube yet. I really like it, so I think you probably might, too!

I believe this is a Flesh for Lulu cover. I also believe this was a hidden song on the 'Stereo' album.

Lyrics:

A postcard from paradise

Delivered by mortal hands

X marks the spot where you lay

Now the sun burns down on the sand

I watched you sleeping

Listened to you breathing

Wondered if you were dreaming, andf if you were

What were you dreaming?

And I fell under your spell

And I lay where I fell

So wind down your window

I think I'm gonna kiss you

I dont know what else to do

You send me

Postcards from paradise

Say I want you

You send me

Postcards from paradise

Yeah, you do

Like a car broke down in the rain

I just can't get started again

I want you

I want you to stay

Postcards from paradise

Delivered by mortal hands

X marks the spot where you lay

Now the sun burns down on the sand

There goes love again

7 day wondering

Out on the ledge again

Your'e threatening to jump again

Here comes temptation

Dragging it out again

Riding a bullet train

To your central nervous station

And I fell under your spell

And I lay where I fell

So wind down your window

I think I'm gonna kiss you

I dont know what else to do

You send me

Postcards from paradise

Say I want you

You send me

Postcards from paradise

Yeah, you do

Like a car broke down in the rain

I just can't get started again

I want you

I want you to stay

You send me

One of my favourite songs on "Stereo", though I only realised recently that it's a cover, originally written and recorded by Flesh for Lulu. Recorded by Paul in his basement, with him playing all instruments.

A fantastic cover in the sloppy and genuine Westerberg style. Strangely, I always felt that the original version could have been a later-era Replacements song.

This is a hidden track on Stereo: Mono. At 1:48 I always come. Such a raw cover, great snarl.

Love Westerberg, but Jeff you may be over crediting him as best song writer if you think he wrote this one...see Flesh for LuLu.

Love Westerberg's raw vocals. Saw flesh for lulu do this tune. Great song from both parties.

Yeah, money and mainstream success really says it all, doesn't it? Akon and David Guetta are musical geniuses! Arthur Alexander and Alex Chilton who? Jesus....

You get negative reactions here because you say stupid shit like 'his music blows' and that Reznik is better than Westerberg because he lives in Beverly Hills. There are plenty of people who like bad music (IMO) who don't get flamed here... it because they don't come across like an idiot.

seriously? living in B.H. is supposed to be a measure of one's musical talent now? Honestly, that's got to be one of the most idiotic statements I've read. No one is arguing that the GGDs have sold a lot of albums; so has Maroon 5 -- but then again, they probably also have swanky homes in B.H., so I guess they deserve the praise of their fans.

I agree that an artist has to grow and evolve. But artists can do that without reducing themselves to putting out lowest-common-denominator-appealing boring & safe music, which is all I've heard from Rzenik over the past decade or so. He doesn't have to go back to punk; just something interesting.

Jon Bon Jovi, is that you? Jealous, plucked and stupid is no way to go through life, son.

Hey, I'll take Paul's drunk Keith Richards singing in the rain impression over another soulless, pedestrian double Goo Dolls cover any day of the weekend. "His music just blows!" Say, you are funny!

@CubedGames who the fuck are the mets?

@ih8music ::looks at your username:: That explains it. Lay the hell off, there's absolutely nothing wrong with any of the bands mentioned here. Your "tastes" are your own, and no one else's, so keep yours and others can keep theirs. Ass. Long live Goo, 'Mets, and Flesh for Lulu!
