it's good to see paul playing old jam tracks.cos if your anything like me,you sold your guitar, stereo 'cd's and amps'got in to your gear.and fucked your life up for a while, you eventually stop supporting music'cos you found being a muso doesn't pay'you never forget the guy's you met'especially the ones with something soft attached to their forehead'i think paul's best solo effort is heliocentric,i find Stanley road and heavy soul his most depressing releases.

This is one of my favorite songs along with the other timeless classic "English Rose". Paul Weller was a real band leader. He had grace & style. I first saw him on the Live Aid TV show. He was depicting a real fierce rock star image to me. He's a genius. He has captured the raw energy of punk very gracefully. Great guy.

I've loved The Jam since around '78 when I first heard them, I've thought his last couple of albums just haven't 'been there',......but listening to this again and it's beautiful arrangement makes me Cry ........ and thats from a 44 year-old hairy arsed bloke from Salford who never cries.
