its interesting, you don't realise how much Art's voice made the duo until you hear it without him, I am pretty certain this song would not have gotten far with this version

Best version ever IMO. I always liked the bluesy versions of the song - and this particular performance has some nice little changes in emphasis. I could live withouth the solo in the middle, but this version is top of the top!

Hey. Don't sit on the fence. Say what's on your mind.

And do you expect people to respectfully judge what you said, when you started with "fuck off" ?

Saying Garfunkel was holding him back is an overstatement. I think of it as something new more people can appreciate, I think Garfunkel gave him more recognition. There are plenty of people who just listen to Garfunkel and were introduced to the marvelous talent of Simon. Im sorry but I completely disagree with you, however I can see where you're coming.

I loved it when I was 16, difficult emotional time to me, felt like I was blind of love and I coldn't realize or see the world around myself as I generally do, grey and dark, black and white

Once again inappropriate clapping ruins what should have been a spiritual experience. And that lighter held up has now been replaced by 10,000 smartphone users who would rather experience a live show as a rerun.

@GodspeedJoshua .... agreed. It was the duo that initially became famous. It took the both of them to achieve their initial fame. Art still sounds great today. Simon is still a great guitar player, but he seems to have simplified his versions to a lot of his old songs. I prefer his style of guitar playing back in the '60's and '70's when he was still using his thumb pick.

@jstarks123 I do agree that Paul is underrated, and awesome, but Paul was having trouble getting off the ground at the beginning. He told them he sang with another guy, brought in Art, played for them, and got signed right there. If it weren't for Art, Paul may have just been a songwriter for a while, and given away some of his greatest stuff to someone else.

@GodspeedJoshua ...they were BOTH the voice...I personally prefer both of them together. Simon's voice is way underrated. Garfunkel definitely had an amazing voice that was powerful yet angelic...but Simon's voice has a haunting quality to it that I love.
