Well, the album version was released 1 year prior to this on Wednesday Morning 3AM in 1964.

This is actually the second ever recording of the song. The original version of this song was recorded on March 10th, 1964 for Simon and Garfunkel's 1st album, "Wednesday Morning, 3am" which was released on October 19th of that year (1964).
