My father was an international truck driver. This meant that during the week he wasn’t home that often. During the holidays he took me with him ones or twice. It was super exciting. I had to get up with him, very early (like at 4.00), and got chocolate milk and cookies at his working place for breakfast. Then we made this road trip together and just talked and listened to the radio. During the nights I slept in the cabin with my dad. I remember that Graceland from Paul Simon played. When I became a teenager I suddenly felt this very strong need to find this song that connected me to one of the most precious childhood memories that I had, but I did not remember its name, song text, tune or singer. I only had this 'feeling' . I was seeking for the song for years and at one day it suddenly was played at the radio station I was listening to. I made me cry and it is still my favorite song of all times. So glad I found it.

The story of how he wrote this song is just as awesome as the song itself.
