We saw this set in Manchester, England, when Paul played the UK in the same year. I picked this video up when it was released and I'd just bought my first surround sound TV ... my wife and I used to sit in the middle of the room surrounded by speakers, blasting this out full whack ... awesome memories, the Manchester gig was equally amazing. And yeah, I still have the VHS tape too !

I absolutely love Paul Simon's voice on Bridge Over Troubled Water. I know people love Art Garfunkel singing it but Paul's voice suits the song and is just as good. Even better in my opinion. He should sing it more.

I was a student in NYC at the time, and heard about this late but ran to the park when I did. Arrived at 9 AM and spent a lovely day with lovely strangers, ending up as I recall about twentieth row for this concert for the ages. Ha didn't even realize these were still the VHS days; still sore I lost my Live Aid footage which was on Beta. Thank you so much for uploading to the great museum of memory that is Youtube.

I'd like to know who the 6 idiots are that disliked this.  They must be Clinton supporters.

I was close to going.  Ended up hearing the show on the radio.  In 1999 in Virginia Beach, I would later see this music giant with Bob Dylan.  Both put on an hour and half show and managed to play together: The Sound Of Silence, The Wanderer/That'll Be The Day
