This was his first hit in 1962 who at the time was one of the actors (along with Shelley Fabares) on the Donna Reed show.

I think I recall this guy...Jewish fella from upstate New York, Glens Falls area.A traveling rabbi in the tri-county area.A great cantor who belted out. "she can't find her keys" and all the other hits at Friday night service. What a lantzman...what a mensch.Such a nice Jewish boy.At the moment ....chief rabbi in Jerusalem.....fine fella.....nice Jew. On second thought, this may not be the same guy.

I just want to put out there that I'm only 12, and I was born in the wrong generation. I ABSOLUTELY HATE all mainstream pop music. It's so un-original, and vulgar, now pop stars have to flaunt every part of their body to become popular, no body cares about actual talent anymore.

Love it , great fun song by Paul, it sounds very much like " Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini " in some parts

MOMENTS TO REMEMBER for SEPTEMBER 23 - Happy 69th birthday today to actor PAUL PETERSEN, who began as a Mouseketeer and rose to fame as teenaged Jeff Stone on “The Donna Reed Show.” Like on-screen sister Shelley Fabares (and various other young TV personalities of that era), Paul was herded into a sound studio to make pop records. “She Can’t Find Her Keys” was a substantial hit for Paul, and this ‘live’ clip of the song from the Shindig series is especially fun. All of that, and she can't find her keys...that girlfriend was probably one of his more well organized dates! Oh well, at least ( I hope) she could-with his heip- find the keyhole they fit into and open the door...LOL!

Loved the clever way he introduced this song in a "daydream" sequence in a Donna Reed Show episode. I can relate; I often have a Hell of a time finding my keys in my messenger bag.

On this day in 1962 {February 15th} Paul Petersen performed "She Can't Find Her Keys" on the late Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'... One month later on March 3rd it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #19 and spent 12 weeks on the Top 100... Paul Petersen appeared in 275 episodes of "The Donna Reed Show" between the years 1958 and 1966... R.I.P. Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012} and Mr. Petersen will celebrate his 68th birthday this coming September 23rd...

Good song and great delivery. It beats Jerry Mathers windup toy by miles.
