I do think this could have been their attempt to imitate KISS doing the Fleetwood Mac song "Go Your Own Way".

I knew Paul got busted for pot early the next year, but I never thought of this song having anything to do with drugs.

soooo much mediocrity from Paul in his Wings phase. Never understood how his songwriting prowess could so completely collapse post Beatles...I believe it was the absence of John and their magical songwriting rivalry that Paul missed...They provided each other with "Reality checks" neither was able to recreate with mere affirming wives.

Figured it was an anti-drug song, actually. (Though it's obvious he kept up w/ the "green" for decades after!)

Lotsa folks done nothing probably think they're cool. Dream on....McCartney IS cool and this is one of the reasons why. You can't put a good man down.

This is my favourite album from Wings ever. And this tune is simply awesome. I thought it when I was 9 and I still think it

@M400fan Well, during that period of SFF/Penny Lane to mid- '67, McCartney (as well as the others) had a moustache. he was the first toshave it off by the time of the Sgt. Pepper lp release party hosted by Brian Epstein (Linda Eastman was in attendance taking photos). I'd say the photo was taken in the summer of '67, evidenced by the green trees (around the time of the Our World broadcast of All You Need Is Love). But definitely no earlier.

@crapple009 Looks like it's from the SFF/Penny Lane photoshoot, so very early '67.
