My favorite song on Wings at the Speed of Sound. Love the power chords. I always felt Denny Laine brought a balance to Paul's sweet melodic sound, kind of like a John Lennon substitute. Though no one can replace John.

I remember well when this was released. One Saturday, the "lead" guitarist, vocalist, and drummer of our "band" had to work till noon, so, with several hours to kill, the rhythm guitarist and I decided we'd go to see the re-release the Marx Brothers' "Animal Crackers." And, needless to say, we got WHACKED on the way out to the theater, "serendipity" and all THAT. And the radio played the live version of "Time To Hide." We were astounded, enjoyed it mightily, but remember, we sat thru a GREAT Marx Bros. movie before reuniting with the remainder of the band. And when we tried to explain what we'd heard, I believe the lyrics, best as we could remember, were "Break it to me gently: play it on a slide guitar." GREAT song, especially live. Makes you forgive Denny Laine for having ever had anything to do with the (AHEM! A little sarcasm, here): hyper-masculine Moody Blues.....

Awesome album, I bought it when I was ten, have just started listening to it again recently.  Not only is Denny Lane great but so is guitarist Jimmy McCulloch...sad he died in 1979.

The live version is TONS better! If you think the bass version kicks here, it's nothing compared to the "Wings Over America" track.
